Sayward Harrison, PhD
DIRECTOR
Dr. Sayward Harrison is a health psychologist and Associate Professor of Psychology at the University of South Carolina. She works closely with community partners across South Carolina on research to improve the prevention and treatment of stigmatized health conditions including HIV and substance use disorder (SUD). She also runs the Health Futures Lab.

Samuel McQuillin, PhD
LEAD EVALUATOR
Dr. McQuillin is a school psychologist and Associate Professor of Psychology who is interested in how communities and schools can work together to help empower young people to succeed in school and in life. Dr. McQuillin also runs the Youth Empowerment in Systems and Schools (YESS) Lab.

Becky Carter, MPH
CENTER COORDINATOR
Becky Carter is Coordinator of the I-CaRe Center at the University of South Carolina. With a Masters in Public Health and a background in public health nursing, Becky works to strengthen our community’s response to the opioid crisis.
